I just couldn't wait to post these engagement photos! Ashley is my niece and she is just simply stunning and Justin and her together make a gorgeous couple! We went to the Hamilton area to take their engagement photos. They wanted something different and I absolutely love it there! There are so many beautiful places to take walks and just hang out for a relaxing day! We had such a fun day together taking photos at a mill and then heading down to an awesome waterfall! We did all get a little wet and mucky but in the end it was all worth it! Awesome memories!Ashley and Justin's engagement story is cute because she sort of had an idea that he was going to ask her. She just didn't know when so the suspense must have killed her. Here is just a small part of their beautiful love story. Justin and Ashley had planned a trip to Montreal with his sister and brother-in-law. They had been talking about getting engaged for a while so she thought this might be it! On the second day of their vacation they planned a really nice date night just the two of them. Justin took Ashley to Old Montreal to a quaint little restaurant. They sat at the best seat in the house right by the window. They ordered wine and were having great conversation and just an all round amazing time. She kept thinking "he's got to ask me here...its so romantic!" Dinner ended and no engagement proposal so they went outside and Justin suggested they take a horse drawn carriage ride. They get in and snuggle under the blankets because it was March and freezing outside and again she thinks "this is it....he will definitely ask me here!" But again he didn't. They stopped by a Starbucks and then tried to make their way back to the hotel. As they get back he asks Ashley if they can go for a walk. She gets a sweater and they take a walk around McGill University which is beautiful at that time of year because you can see the city lights and they light up the school with pretty green and pink lights and the back is covered in icy cliffs. Just as Ashley had given up all hope of a proposal Justin stops Ashley and tells her he loves her so much. So much that be can't imagine his life without her and that he wanted her to be his wife. He dropped to one knee at that point and said "Ashley, will you marry me? Even though it was cold and she could hardly feel her face she said it was the happiest moment of her whole life. She cried and said, "Of course!" The rest is history.I think engagement proposals are always best when done just when the woman is least expecting it! Good job Justin! We look forward to your awesome wedding in October. Couldn't be happier that you have both found someone that completes you!
