Melanie and Brad Tie the Knot! (August 27, 2011)

Mel and Brad's wedding was such an incredible wedding.  It took place at his mother's home in Grand Bend in their backyard.  It had such a relaxed and welcoming feel to it.  The groom and guys got ready upstairs in the house and the bride and her girls got ready in the basement of the house.  The ceremony took place between the trees  in the forested backyard.  It was so touching to see the father of the bride cry as the bride walked toward him up the aisle...that being his first time seeing her in her gown.  It was also touching to see the moment they exchanged just before he walked her up the aisle the rest of the way.  Just beautiful!   After the officiant pronounced them husband and wife they high-fived and as they kissed  a confetti cannon was let off behind them surprising everyone.  At the end of the ceremony as the guests were still seated and while Brad's sister sang they passed out champagne and everyone toasted before they walked back up the aisle.  It was a very unique ceremony!After, their guests mingled in the gardens which their parents had worked on for weeks before.  There were amazing hors d'oeuvres and a signature drink.  They had so many amazing details at the wedding also.  Loved, loved, loved her bouquet which the bride made herself from broaches.  Just stunning!   And then the peacock bouquet fans and boutonnieres.  Just loved them!  We went to the beach for a few photos and then came back and lit sparklers, ate amazing creme brulee and then their guests sat around a campfire.Besides their wedding being amazing and something we will never forget Brad and Melanie are an absolutely beautiful, vibrant and fun couple and we wish them nothing but the best as they start their married life together.  Congratulations to you both!  So glad to share with you in your amazing day!
