Ashley and Phil are engaged!

Ashley and Phil make such a cute couple!  They are very natural together and like to have fun even if it means getting wet and snowy!  We had so much fun with them on this very cold winter day!  We really got the chance to know them much better over a hot chocolate and we are definitely looking forward to their wedding in May 2012.For a year before their first date Ashley and Phil were told that they were perfect for each other.  Ashley's best friend Becky told her about her husband's best friend Phil and told her that they would make a great couple.  Ashley started attending Becky's church and got the opportunity to get to know Phil.  Then he asked her to go for dinner.  They went to dinner downtown and spent two and half hours enjoying conversation rather than the food even though that was pretty good too!  After dinner they spent another two hours watching the hockey game and never stopped talking.Over the next nine months they got to know each other very well and it became obvious the direction in which their relationship was heading.  Phil took her to her favorite Italian restaurant for dinner on one of their weekly date nights.  A co-worker of Ashley's joked that tonight was the night.  Ashley had an inkling, but brushed it off.  Nothing happened during dinner and when Phil suggested they walk through Victoria Park to look at the newly lit Christmas lights her heart beat faster!  It had to be!  They walked all the way through the park.....and nothing!  After picking her hopes up off the ground they went back to her  apartment where Ashley went to change into comfier clothes and when she came back to the living room the ring box was sitting in the Christmas tree.  Phil said, "So, will you?" and Ashley said, "Yes!"Congratulations Ashley and Phil on your engagement.  Enjoy planning your wedding...one of the biggest days of your life!
