It was such a beautiful October day that we did Maranda and Wynn's engagement session...just as the leaves were starting to change. Love fall afternoon's like this one!Maranda and Wynn met in high school and have been together for eight years. You can tell they are really comfortable with one another. I asked them about the proposal and here is what they told me. In June, at their cottage in Grand Bend, Maranda and Wynn were watching a show about this cute couple who renewed their vows in a tiny church outside of Niagara Falls that holds about eleven people. Maranda said it was beautiful and she was very emotional after watching it. A commercial came on and she went into the kitchen to start supper. When she turned around, he was on one knee with a ring box open. Wynn asked her too marry him and she said no because she thought he was kidding despite the fact that he had presented her a ring. These two like to joke around with each other and Maranda said it is definitely something they would do to each other, that is to fake a proposal. She said the ring could have been plastic for all she knew. However, as it turned out he wasn't kidding. His whole body started to shake and he stood up looking very flushed. It was then that Maranda realized he was serious and she had just turned down his proposal. She made him get back down on his knee and ask her again. This time she said yes (thankfully for him). Upon later inspection the ring wasn't plastic. They called their family and friends and everyone was so excited and happy for them. Seven days after they got engaged they finalized the papers for their new home. It was a very big week for the two of them! Congratulations to you both on your engagement. You guys really compliment each other! We look forward to your wedding next May! Had a blast getting to know you at your engagement session! Know you two will keep it interesting on the wedding day!
