Gerdien and Chris are a great couple and we had an amazing time at their engagement session. We tried a ton of new things with them...things we had never done before! They had their engagement session mostly on her parents property and they have their own man made pond. They went out on a rowboat...I thought it looked really romantic! We also played with some interesting lighting as it got darker earlier than we expected. When the sun goes down in the evening in the fall it seems it happens so fast but the photos we took then are some of my favorites from the shoot!Chris and Gerdien looked at rings in the spring of this year. Gerdien was patiently waiting for Chris to pop the question. A while before Gerdien had told Chris she would prefer not to get engaged "up north". However, Chris having already made plans knew that it was a great time to propose. Once they were up north Chris wanted to go fishing. So they went out onto Lake Commanda. Gerdien didn't mind going along because it was nice to relax and spend some time with Chris. To keep herself occupied Gerdien started to organize the tackle boxes. Chris then proposed to her. She said "yes" even though he proposed up north. We look forward to your wedding next July Gerdien and Chris with a bunch more new firsts for us! We loved capturing these extraordinary moments for you both! Congratulations on your engagement!
