Emily and Phil’s Beautiful Wedding Day! (August 14, 2010)

We met Emily and her bridal party at the London Bridal Expo last year and ever since that day we have eagerly awaited their wedding!  She is just stunning and always smiling and they are so down to earth.  Their wedding day did not disappoint us...we just had the best time photographing it!  In the morning when we arrived the girls were all getting their hair and makeup done at home.  Love that...it is just so relaxing for a bride!  She was getting ready at her parents home and Phil was getting ready next door.  Emily and Phil have renovated her grandparents old home and now live right beside her parents.  It was awesome to be able to take photos of the guys all getting ready and not have to travel anywhere else!  Don't know how often that will happen.Emily and Phil's minister was quite funny and in all the excitement Emily thought that they had not said their vows so asked the minister to do them thinking they had been forgotten.  We are still not sure whether they did them twice or not but it was really cute!  Only the videographer knows for sure!We had a fantastic afternoon with the bridal party...they were a lot of fun and really tried anything!  Afterwards we headed to their reception and it was really nice for Rob and I to be photographing a reception in the very place we had our reception 15 years ago although now it is far more beautiful than it was then!  It is always nice to walk down memory lane!  I believe Emily's parents had their wedding reception there as well.  The speeches were all really heartfelt and there were a lot of laughs as well as tears.  We thought it was a really beautiful wedding and we just want to take this moment to wish Emily and Phil all the best in their marriage and years of happiness.  You are really special people and we were so glad to be able to share with you in your day!
