Amanda and Layne are engaged!

I just love doing engagement sessions on warm summer nights and this was an amazing evening!  Layne and Amanda make  a cute couple and even though initially they felt a little uncomfortable getting their photos taken they really loosened up over the course of the evening and we got some great shots of this couple that is so in love!  We really enjoyed getting to know them better too!Amanda and Layne have been together for more than seven years.  They started dating while they were in high school!  Awww....love it!  There was never really a rush for them to be engaged.  Amanda always knew it would happen eventually but she always wanted to be surprised and not know anything about it in advance!  Anytime a birthday or Christmas would roll around and Layne would ask what Amanda wanted as a present she would always say surprise me!  They were engaged on Christmas Eve.  They usually open their presents that night because they can't wait until the actual Christmas Day.  They finished opening their presents and Layne said he had one more and that Amanda had to stand up for it.  She still didn't catch on until he pulled out the box and opened it.  Needless to say she was very surprised.  He had picked out the ring all on his own without ever taking her to look at rings.  Good thing Amanda was impressed....I think that was pretty brave!   She said they were a little uneven present-wise last year because all she gave him was a fishing pole.  She told him (jokingly) that he had some big expectations to live up to next year!  I think maybe Amanda does!By the way I just love Amanda's hair...think it is gorgeous....love the color it just blows me away!  She is going to make a stunning bride and we are really looking forward to their June wedding next year when high school sweethearts become one!   Congratulations on your engagement Amanda and Layne!
