We had a great time photographing Ashlee and Nathan a few weeks ago! They are such a nice couple and I really feel for them since they are not going to be seeing a lot of each other before they are married in September of 2011 as Nathan is working out west and Ashlee lives here in London. That is a long time to be apart! In the end the wait will all be worth it though! They also say absence makes the heart grow fonder! Hope the engagement photos bring some joy to you both! Here is Ashlee and Nathan's engagement story as told by Ashlee."Christmas if my favorite time of year. I honestlly act like a child and find all my presents and open them and rewrap them. I'm that horrible. This was my first Christmas living with Nathan and I put up my Christmas decorations on November 1st so that I could make it last as long as I could. Nathan was surprisingly tolerant with my obsessive decorating, helped with the tree and went on multiple trips with me to buy decorations...he even took me to Bronners in Frankenmuth so I could get even more. My parents had warned him and he ended up keeping all my presents at their house I couldn't figure out what they were and by Christmas morning I was dying to figure out what he bought. I waited until 6:45 to wake him up (he's not a morning person but that's as long as I could wait) and we started opening presents. The last gift from Nathan was a huge box that I had determined was a new Wii game that I wanted as it was really light and I figured he was trying to trick me because it was past our price limit. I started opening the gift and sure enough, there were probably 8 or 9 boxes all wrapped inside each other. When I finally got to the bottom there was a jewelry box in the bottom. By this time I still had no idea and was a little disappointed that it wasn't the Wii game, but I opened the box...and it was empty. Then I looked up and Nathan was kneeling in front of me with the ring and told me he loved me and asked if I would spend the rest of my life with him. I ended up crying and he had to ask me again but eventually I was able to manage to say yes. He gave me the best first Christmas together that I could ever imagine and I don't think his timing or proposal could have been any more perfect."Ashlee also had one other cool story and that is that Nathan and Ashlee met at Cowboy's In London and many years ago her parents got engaged in the coffee shop that was in the same building that is now Cowboy's.Thanks for sharing your personal stories with us Ashlee and Nathan. You really do learn a lot about a couple and how they connect with each other when you spend a few hours with them on their engagement shoot and we look forward to their wedding in September 2011 in London.
