Emily and Phil engaged to be married!

Emily and Phil's  engagement was rescheduled quite a few times before we got the most beautiful spring evening....absolutely perfect and worth the wait!  When I met Emily at the bridal show back in January we just clicked right away and I so hoped we would be the photographers she chose to capture her engagement and wedding memories.  When she called we were thrilled....to say the least!   Spending a few hours together with them made us even more excited about their upcoming wedding.  They are so down to earth and gorgeous together!I love to hear about how couples met or how they were engaged and I asked Emily and Phil their story and here is what they told me.  At Christmas time Emily loves to put up lots of decorations.  Last Christmas she went overboard!  She put of tons of decoration around the house and especially on the tree.  Phil would say to her "Em, I think we have enough decorations!  They look great but I think we have spent enough money and there are so many of them!"  However, Emily would still go out and buy the odd decoration for the tree.  On November 27th last year she came home to Phil in the living room examining the tree up and down.  He said "Emily, did you buy more decorations for the tree?"  Emily was adamant that she had not.   He kept saying "Yes I am positive there are new ones on the tree!"  He then said "Come and check them out!"  At this point Emily was extremely excited and thought "Wow!...Phil is into buying decorations and maybe he has bought some for the tree to surprise me."  He certainly did surprise her when she went to the tree and saw the tail of a ribbon part way up.  As she followed the ribbon up the tree she saw a ring tied to the top of it.  You see she hadn't gotten a star or angel for their tree yet.  When she saw the ring she literally was jumping, cheering, screaming and crying all at the same time.  She was so excited and in shock.  He took the ring down from the top of the tree, went down on one knee and asked her to marry him.  Emily of course said Yes!  She said the proposal couldn't have been more perfect!Emily and Phil...we look forward to your awesome wedding in August!  Congratulations of your engagement and the beautiful memory you have of that night!  Comments on the blog are always welcome!
